Johnbosco Uche (JB) is the Energy Transition Business Opportunity Manager for Shell Companies in Nigeria. He also doubles as Front-End Development Manager and Project Leader in Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria (SPDC). JB is a Geological Science graduate of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka. He obtained his Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University, Scotland. JB has acquired over 22 years’ experience in the energy industry working for Shell, CONOIL Producing, and Halliburton across technical and business roles. Since joining Shell in 2005, he has worked as Exploration Geoscientist & Team Lead in SPDC Nigeria, Shell Netherlands, Shell United-Kingdom, and most recently as Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company (SNEPCo) Exploration Manager between 2018 and 2021. Johnbosco is a former Vice president and Fellow of Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationists (NAPE). He is registered with Council of Mining Engineers and Geoscientists (COMEG) and also a member of NMGS, AAPG, SEG, EAGE, and PESGB. Due to his strong passion for organic talent development of young Nigerian Geoscientists, he initiated the novel annual NAPE Mentoring Circles for emerging leaders in the industry. Johnbosco is married with children.
